The interview with Ralph Edwards' friend and biographer was presented this morning on CBC Daybreak. We heard about Ralph's early pioneering and his dedicated and crucial support of the local trumpeter swan population. It seemed odd though that neither interviewer nor interviewee mentioned Ralph's son. John, who continued the legacy and has now faced losing it all.
Meanwhile the BC news reported the concern of locals who wish to briefly go back in to the Charlotte Lake and finish setting up and refuel sprinkler systems. This is a plan they had worked on following last year's BC fires. Also surfacing on the news is the anger felt that nothing was done to take care of this fire when it was small and manageable.
