Searching around for a unifying symbol, the people of Mostar in ethnically-challenged Bosnia came up with a figure known to most of their population - across ethnic (Serb, Croat and Moslem) and age divisions: Bruce Lee.
According to the local Urban Movement, organisers of the project, Lee is known as a a symbol of justice, mastery and honesty and cannot be claimed as their own by any of the ethnic groupings in Bosnia. So, soon central Mostar will be graced by a life-size statue of the Kung-fu hero, designed by a local sculptor. Despite his premature death at 32, Bruce Lee's inspiration continues.
